It is Finished...

Background Photo: Noelle Johnson

Three little words with unimaginable power.
Three words to be very thankful for.
Three words that love us.
Three words that free us.
Three words that clean us.
Three words that transform us.
Three words that save us.
Three words that give us a heavenly bedroom.
Three words that give life.
Three words that make us whole.
.
But while the work of Jesus to take our punishment and pay our sin debt is complete, finished on the cross, still we wait for Him to come again and defeat sin once and for all. Still we see people struggle with sin, addition, abuse, neglect, fear, slavery.
.
This is what Advent is about....the anticipation of what is yet to come. We look back on the birth of Jesus as fulfillment to promises long anticipated. We look forward to Jesus returning and reigning over all.
.
God is patient, offering more time for more people to meet His Son and accept His free gift. And until Jesus comes again, we are His hands and feet. His light is in us. We have the privilege, honor, and responsibility of shinning light in the darkness, illuminating the path to freedom only found in Jesus.
.
I love this background photo by Noelle Johnson shared by Jars of Hope. It is a beautiful picture of freedom and joy.
I love that Jars of Hope supports organizations around the world in the fight against human trafficking. Freeing people.
I love that Jars of Hope is a college ministry, and each semester a new group of volunteer students comes in to serve.
.
Until Jesus returns, I am grateful for those in the fight for freedom here on earth.
.
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. (Rev 22:20)

Purchases of Jars of Hope necklaces contribute to ending human trafficking. Each of the necklaces are hand crafted and filled with glass glitter. The glitter is a metaphor to represent shattered humanity and how God is taking broken pieces of peoples lives and making them whole, into something beautiful and lasting.

You can purchase a necklace here. $15
